Are You Up On The Latest Handle Trend?

Lilly Handle

Decorative hardware is always difficult to predict.  You never know what’s going to take off and what’s going to be a dog…

There seems to be a growing demand for square handles…

Currently the ones on the market are a little high priced for closets.

I have been selling the above Lilly handles for about two years and it’s really beginning to gain popularity.

Is it as nice as the expensive ones – Not really…

Once I tell customers it’s half the price… it gets much nicer.  :0)

Some of my customers are beginning to replace the stainless steel bar handles with the Lilly handles…

If you would like more info about this collection or have a hardware question please don’t hesitate to contact me at richdemarco@optonline.net

It’s All About Being REAL…

When you take a look at some of the most successful people on TV – Who comes to mind?

Oprah

Ellen

Dr. Phil

No I’m not home all day watching TV…  I love my DVR!!

Back to my point – these people are all REAL!

That’s why they are successful – they don’t hide who they are, they don’t put on an act, and are full of emotion – good and bad.

Their fans love them for that.

When it comes to sales, networking or social media – the same applies.

I don’t try to hide my Brooklyn accent or stop speaking with my hands…  Will that offend some?  Maybe…

I think more will appreciate that I am genuine than if I pronounce the “R’s” at the end of my words…

Success at anything doesn’t come easy… It’s a lot harder if you’re not REAL…

Expand Your Offering & Watch Sales Increase…

Today there was a story out that Ikea is planning to offer solar panels – What’s your initial reaction?

What will the instructions be like?

Are they put together with cams and dowels?

Once you get the jokes out of the way –

I’ll bet the panels will be affordable.

Ikea could change the solar panel industry… Isn’t that what they did to the furniture industry?

Ikea could be very successful as long as the panels are marketed correctly.

As long as they are ready to answer questions and make it easy for consumers.

What do solar panels have to do with your business?  Nothing…

Think about expanding your product offering to your current customer base –

Sure many of you do garages – What about the floors or overhead garage storage?

Do you work with builders?  What about offering shower doors?  Central vacuums or insulation?

Initially you may think this can’t work –

What if you partnered up with flooring company or a shower door company and marketed to each other’s customer list?

Could you make extra revenue without doing much work?  Partnering up with the right company could open you up to a bunch of warm leads.

Finding the right partner could be difficult – What would your bottom line look like if you did?

Are you currently doing something like this?  What type of success are you having?

I would love to hear from you.

Here is the link to the Ikea story.
