The Poor Man’s CNC…

Fastcap distributed by the Mayor of Hardware

Well maybe this doesn’t have the capabilities of a CNC, but it’s an easy way to do “selective drilling.”

Use it on site or in the field.

Is Your Design Wasting Space?

Rev-A-Shelf HampersRev-A-Shelf Hampers

Before you show up my front lawn with pitchforks and torches allow me to explain….

Think about the last laundry room that you did…

How deep were the verticals?  I’m guessing at least 20 inches.

How much space did you allow for the hamper?

Again, I’m guessing, but it’s usually a 24” wide section for a “large double hamper”

Here’s the problem – that 24” wide x 20” deep large double hamper doesn’t exist. (If I’m wrong, please let me know)

The 20” deep hampers are all 15” wide.  Click to see Rev-A-Shelf’s hamper collection.

If it’s too late to change the design, customer already signed off on and the raised panel doors are ordered…

What is your solution?

Do you install the 14” deep double hampers that you use in your closets?

Do you buy a deeper hamper and center it on the shelf, wasting almost 10 inches?

Do you make something custom?

I am constantly being asked this question and before I tell you what I usually suggest, I would love to hear what the pros do.
