New Adjustable Legs – Now IN STOCK

Garage leg pic

I’m really excited to show off our newest adjustable legs.

These aren’t your typical garage cabinet legs.

They come in 4 finishes – white, black, chrome and stainless steel.

The finish on these legs makes them nice enough to use in a mudroom, wall unit or laundry room.

While the steel triangle mounting plate will prevent this leg from being kicked out or snapping when carrying cabinets in.  They are rated at 770 lbs. per leg and have ¾” of adjustability.

Metal Garage Leg

We currently have 4”, 5”, 6” and 8” in stock.

If you are looking for a metal leg with more adjustment and aren’t as concerned with the finish.

I have one that will replace those black plastic legs at a very similar price.

Metal Garage Leg

They are rated at 785 lbs. per leg and adjustable from 4” – 6-11/16”.

Don’t like either of these options?

We have a complete catalog dedicated to legs and casters.

Hook it UP!

When was the last time you reviewed your hook offering?

Sure that $.80 coat and hat hook is perfect for those on a budget, but what about a higher-end client?

You offer your clients different options for handles and knobs so why not hooks?

Hooks are another easy way for you to increase your average sale and your profits.

There isn’t any extra labor involved in installing a $3, $5 or even $7 hook vs installing an $.80 one.

Richelieu has a 26-page catalog dedicated to hooks.  We definitely have a hook that will fit your style, function and budget.

Here are a handful of my favorite options –

Utility hooks –

Transitional hooks –

Concealed Fasteners –

I know you’re thinking Richie – I can’t offer all of these options – my customer will never make a decision.

I totally agree – but if you offer 3 price points –  “Good, Better, Best”

Is it possible that 50% of the hook racks you sell go from “good” to “better”?

How much extra money does that put in your pocket at the end of the year?

I would love to hear from you – what are your thoughts?

Have a great week!

Brass is Back Baby!

No not that ugly bright yellow, plastic looking brass that shows every scratch.

Or that bright pink rose gold that came and went.

This is an elegant satin champagne gold finish also known as iPhone gold – haha!

Seriously the most popular question that I have received in the last 30 days is what decorative hardware is available in gold.

Here are some of my favorites.

Along with our new champagne gold finish we also added polished nickel, honey bronze and matte black. These are the hottest finishes right now and coming soon to a closet near you.

Are you attending KBIS next week?

Stop by our booth #S5016 to see our new decorative hardware offering along with the latest in lighting, decorative panels, and of course hardware.

If not let me know if you are ready to expand your decorative hardware offering – it’s the easiest way to make your company more profitable.

What’s New What’s Next 2017

Last week Richelieu partnered with Transform to participate in the New York Design Center’s 9th annual What’s New What’s Next event. This is the most anticipated interior design event of the season with over 80 participating showrooms featuring the latest ideas, materials and products.

When it comes to what’s new and what’s next one of the hottest design trends is “Micro Living and the Evolution of the Multifunctional Space”

Richelieu is the leader in this space – all 350 square feet of it… 🙂

We offer a product line that allows architects and builders to maximize every inch, while allowing designers to make it a place that people want to entertain in.

Micro living and multifunctional space becomes very exciting when you take those solutions and apply them to overall design. Give a homeowner a more functional home without having to add an addition and watch how quickly your conversation changes from a price negotiation to what else can you do for them.

The sleeping area has the biggest impact on micro living. You need the ability to create bed, sofa, desk and wall unit combinations. These aren’t your parent’s murphy beds that ensured visitors didn’t stay too long.

This is the new generation of folding bed systems that are designed with pistons for easy and safe opening and closing.   They are designed with wood slats and can accommodate a 12” mattress – made for every night sleeping.

Other products include our pull out tables that can be a place to eat or prep food in the kitchen, a folding table in a laundry room, a place to pack your suitcase in a closet or a desk in the family room.   My favorites are Naxo of Cheo.

Living in a micro unit is great but can you entertain?

You sure can with these adaptable furniture pieces. Here are the newest tables to hit the US market – Okey Dokey, Falco, and Butterfly.  These tables magically transform to create seating for 6.

  • Falco Table

What about the closets?

Our Vertiko floating shelf hardware is great for room dividers and keeps with the design of micro. We also have rotating shoe shelves, and a clothing organizer that can put 10’ of clothing in a 5’ x 30” space.

  • Bella Systems Revolving Shoe Rack

  • Royal Cabinets Rotating Clothing Rack
